Exar Kun was a powerful Jedi Knight who fell to the dark side and became a Dark Lord of the Sith.
Originally a promising Jedi Padawan under Master Vodo-Siosk Baas, Kun became obsessed with forbidden knowledge and the Sith. His quest for power led him to the ancient Sith world of Korriban, where he was seduced by the spirit of Freedon Nadd and embraced the dark side.
Kun then returned to the Republic and instigated the Great Sith War, a devastating conflict that ravaged the galaxy. He established a Sith academy on the Yavin system, corrupted other Jedi to his cause, and unleashed terrible dark side weapons upon his enemies.
Exar Kun's first appearance was in the comic book series *Tales of the Jedi* in *Dark Lords of the Sith* issue one in 1993.
